Sixteen 海角社区Students Inducted into School of Nursing and Health Sciences Honor Society

Sixteen 海角社区students were inducted into the R.H. Daniel School of Nursing Honor Society on Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the auditorium of Stewart Hall.

The purpose of the honor society is to recognize students for their academic excellence, leadership, and creativity within the healthcare profession. The goal of the R.H. Daniel School of Nursing and Health Sciences Honor Society is to promote scholarship, excellence, and leadership in the healthcare field.

Students selected to be inducted into the Honor Society are in the top 15 percent of their class. Students must also be in good standing and exhibit strong leadership and critical thinking skills, professionalism, and positive interpersonal skills.

海角社区students chosen for the honor society include:

Jeannie Ausburn (Clarkesville, Georgia), Olivia Bechtel (Marietta, Georgia), Destiny Brown (Social Circle, Georgia), Amanda Foy (Bishop, Georgia), Trinesha Henderson (Crawford, Georgia), Kimberly Hernandez (Statham, Georgia), Jenna Hood (Watkinsville, Georgia), Gracie Martin (Jefferson, Georgia), Ansley McLean (Braselton, Georgia), Ashley Simmons (Homer, Georgia), Hollan Rabensdorf (Cumming, Georgia), Alyssa Reece (Buford, Georgia), Laura Crone (Vienna, Virginia), Margaret Leger (Montgomery, Illinois), Jackson Randolph (Newnan, Georgia), and Megan Easterday.

Alumnus Alex McNure was the guest speaker for the ceremony. College of Nursing & Health Sciences Dr. Jaime Johnson-Huff emceed the event. The induction was facilitated by Associated Professor Chanda Carlan and Assistant Professor Christine Kaiser (nursing), and Assistant Professor Sarah Smith (health sciences).
